I have been lurking here and getting a lot of wonderful advice for our trip to WDW in Oct. I would appreciate any advice you guys can give for our second trip including itenary ideas, travel advice with a big group, anything... We went to WDW two years ago so know somewhat what we are getting into.

Let me give you the details. I have 5 kids (4-12y/o) and two adults. We will be flying for our first time, renting a van and staying off site at a villa (near Walmart) for two weeks 10/14-27, plans secured.

I plan to buy MYW 7 day tickets through undercover tourist. I have purchased MNSSHP for 10/18. (8 days total in wdw) We are planning to do atleast two character dinner type meals, Akershus (sp) and Ohana are what the kids were hoping for, but we are open to suggestions. I have bought 100 pins on ebay for trading which went very well for the kids last time.

We plan to go to Kennedy space center one day. I was thinking about a dinner theater in Orlando another day. We also were interested in an airboat tour in the area.

Now my questions.....
My youngest are 4 and 6, should I bring my fancy double jogging stroller, my traditional front to back double stroller, buy a single umbrella stroller or rent daily at WDW??? How much is the daily rental for a double? (dumb question, can I check the stroller as luggage?)

How much is parking in the park now??? (working on my budget)

Is 8 days in wdw too many? any recommmendations for what to do with an extra day or two?

Please advise on recommended adr's for a bigger family. I have mixed feelings about the hoop de doo, it is very expensive and I just dropped a bundle on the MNSSHP. I would like to have atleast two meals prepaid and reserved which I have to do in July.

If approproiate, please make off site recommendations. If not I will find the offsite board.

Finally has anybody rented with advatage? How well does the picking up work? Does it take them a long time to get you? I am imagining 5 tired, cranky and yet excited kids stuck in an airport at a late hour. (we are getting to the airport at 6pm)
Thanks for all of your help, I have already learned so much here and know that we will have a great vacation thanks to your help.

Fun! I think my kids would enjoy pin trading when they got older.
We're also going to MNSSHP 10/18!

Daily rental for a double is $37. I personally would bring a front to back double, since they are easier to get through doors and gates (thinking gift shops here). You can gate check your stroller. Not sure if that will count as a bag when it comes to charges.

$12/day

I don't think so! You could stay at your villa and just have a laid back swim day, go putt-putting, go to DTD, resort hop.

Do you mean for food? There is a Macaroni Grill nearby, and my friend's husband manages the Joe's Crab Shack nearby.

That's about all I know, as most of my knowledge comes from my research, not my actual experience.

We will be there from the 16th to the 23rd.

I'm pretty new to the site, so I don't have lots of info for you. But we plan on taking a day when we go to go to Kennedy Space Center and then to the beach and visiting ron jons serf shop which is near by.

ETA: Oh and Cocoa Beach Pier as well.

Thanks for your replies.

I am definatly going to bring/buy my own stroller after seeing those rental prices.

My2QTZ, enjoy MNSSHP and lets hope for good weather.
