1. If my 2 year old turns 3 during our trip will she be ok without a ticket like at WDW?

2. She will be turning 3 our last day in the park - where would you suggest we take her for her birthday (meal). (In park, out of park - doesn't matter :) )

3. I know I read this somewhere but I can't find it now....can I mail a package to myself at the resort (GCH) trying to avoid checking a bag and I am pretty sure I will need more shampoo than I can put in my carry-on.

Yes, she will be okay without a ticket. Whatever age you are when you start the trip is your age for the whole trip. I don't really have answers for your other questions, sorry!

I can't remember if you will have a car or not...

The Anaheim Garden Walk isn't too far from Disneyland and has some good dining options. The Cheesecake Factory, PF Changs, Bubba Gump Shrimp Co., California Pizza Kitchen are just a few that I can think of there. Mimi's Cafe is the other direction and has decent food and is very family friendly.

There's a Rainforest Cafe in DTD that might be kind of fun for a 3 year old...unless you have kids like mine who STILL hate the animals there. Another fun place to go in Disneyland is the restaurant in POTC - Blue Bayou. Especially fun if you get a water-side table :) (we'll be using some our OMDD gift card to eat here). The Napa Rose is supposed to be excellent (in the GCH) as well. I've not been there, so I'm not sure if it would be good for a 2/3 year old birthday dinner. Perhaps someone that's been there can weigh in on that?

Those are just a few ideas that popped into my head when dining with kids.

And as far as I know, you can mail yourself a package to the hotel. I would just verify the address to use. I think they'll hold them for you, but to be on the safe side - if at all possible, I would arrange to have it arrive a day or two after I got there. :)

I know my girls would choose a character meal for their birthday - something with Princesses or Minnie. So Ariel's Grotto or the Minnie breakfast.
I had to call about package, and I can tell you I was told to address it to the hotel, and put Hotel Guest John Smith, Arriving 3/3/12 on the box. (with your name and check in date, obviously). Can't help you with the address, since we're at DLH.
Have fun!

We are taking our daughter for her 3rd birthday to the parks. She was going to be 2 most the trip so that is what she is for the rest of the trip. I was going to do the Minnie & Friends breakfast in the park on her birthday and she was going to where a pretty princess dress that day. However, due to circumstances with my husbands job we had to postpond the trip from the end of July to the middle of August. So we are still going to be celebrating her birthday just a little diffrent from July 31st till August 12th. We are still going to do the breakfast and she still will dress like a princess when we are there! We are also mailing a package to our hotel, but we are staying at the HOJO, I priced out Disney hotels but there were too much since we will be gone for 7 days. I know you an send packages to them, so I do not see why you cannot at the GCH.:cool1:
