Any ideas on where to stay for an 1yr anniversary/honeymoon? I am getting married April of 2009 and we are doing a destination wedding, and we are going to take our honeymoon about a year later. I am a huge Disney fan so I know quite a bit about Disney. My fiance does not know Disney that well. We really would like to stay on property, at a nicer hotel. Any help would be appreciated.

My family frequents DW quite often. Our favorite has always been the Yacht and Beach Club. Not only does it have good restaurants, but its in walking distance of Epcot, and Hollywood Studios (formerly MGM) is only a boat ride away.

It depends on your budget:
If you're on a tight budget, I suggest Pop Century. I love it.
If you're wanting to spruge I'd suggest Beach Club or the Poly.

Hello and Congratulations!! Where is your destination wedding going to be?

For our honeymoon we stayed at the Wilderness Lodge in the honeymoon suite and it was perfect! It was quiet and felt very secluded and romantic. There were lots of different trails and things outside the hotel where we could talk a little walk, they had a little beach area, the geyser and a lot of secluded spots around the hotel.

Here are some pictures to help ya out...

When we first started pulling up to the resort

The view from our balcony (you can request a castle view too, there just weren't any available when we went)

The awesome jacuzzi tub in our suite (I should mention that the jacuzzi tub is really the only thing that makes the honeymoon suite different from a regular room)

The "hot springs" in the lobby that turns into a waterfall that empties into the pool outside

The fireplace in the lobby

Hope that helps!!! Congratulations again!!!

Thanks for the info!!! We are getting married in Las Vegas at the Bellagio. I can't wait for the wedding and really can't wait to go to Disney again. We have lots of time to plan but we are starting to look at diffrent places to stay while we are there.
