Planning morning showers

My family members are fairly early risers and we like to get to the parks before rope drop. If I'm showering at 6:30, will there be a line for the showers? I'm just wondering how early I need to make my way to the CS to avoid lines and be able to get back to the camper to dress and feed the kids. I'd really like a 7:00 shower - but I wonder if that would be pushing things.

I'm also wondering if there's a rush for the showers at the end of the day after most parks have closed. I don't mind waiting, I've just got two young kids who will need to be in bed asap on those nights we close a park.

TIA

You should be fine. While I generally shower very late at night, I have rarely seen a line for showers when I've gone to a comfort station at any time of day or night.

You should be fine. I’ve only had to wait for a shower a couple of times. Usually at 6:00 or 7:00 in the morning is a dead time and will be good to sneak in and take your shower. Have a good time on your trip!

When we use to use tents we took late night showers 11p.m. to 2 a.m. never a line.

I would take my 3 DD's to the CS early morning - 7ish - and didnt have to wait. We were quick in and out for the few that came in after us. I found that other campers were the same. :goodvibes

I think it's a crapshoot. My family also likes to get up and be at the parks by RD, so I tend to shower early. Sometimes I get right in, but even at 6:30, there can be a line. It only takes one site full of tenters to fill every shower in the CS, and if they're slow (often the case with a mother and a bunch of kids), it can take a loooong time. My DH never has a problem in the men's shower, but the women's shower is a different issue. The later it gets, the more likely you are to run into a line. I should add that we go at busy times (Thanksgiving week, spring break); at less crowded times it might not be as big an issue. However, if I want to be at the parks for rope drop, either we shower before 6:30 or I shower in the camper and the kids go dirty.

FWIW, I can sometimes tell just by walking through a loop what my morning shower chances are. If it's mostly couples in RV's, the showers won't be crowded. If there are a lot of popups, or sites being shared by multiple people, or if there's a site or two with 2 or 3 tents on it and lots of people (which you can see in any loop in the campground), lines are more likely. It's common sense - most people will use their own facilities if they can, and otherwise overflow into the campground showers.
