Planning Kit?

Anyone know if there is a Vacation Planning Kit similar to the one for WDW available for DL? We are starting to plan for next year, and were just curious.

Hi -

I ordered one 6 months ago and it was the same DVD that they used for WDW --- not much was actually on there about DL --- very disappointing since this was our first trip to ANY Disney location.

That's too bad. I thought our Cdn one was the same as the American, with only a different accompanying letter The DVD I received was about 10 minutes long, and showed a lot of rides specific to DLR.

Certainly not the same excitement and volume as the WDW version, but it's a good prep and souvenir for the kids nonetheless. (I actually prefer the shortness of it )

Also, the DVD came with a 20% coupon for purchases at DLR, good until the end of 2006. I hope they have a similar one in the New Year for our trip.

I got it about a month ago and its wonderful!! Lots of info and rides to see but best of all its all retro looking, the cover, map and everything in it. I love it as a souvener. The launch for the program was a bit tricky as my husband said they didnt include some sort of player in it (I think thats how he said it??) But he got it to work for me to watch. It was very long. It goes through the parks and what there is at Disneyland resort.

I ordered mine in Jan. or Feb., but it didn't arrive until April, I think. I have never been to WDW, but it looks to me to be very Disneyland-specific, showing rides, hotels, etc. It is like watching a long (10 minutes or so) commercial, but since we have never been, it was interesting to me. And even funnier? My boys (ages 5 and 2) LOVED watching it!

The coupon is worth taking the time to order it DLR. Video is short.

There is a new(er) version of the video that is NOT the same one as the "extra" 8 min bonus on the WDW. So if got the 8 min version before, it IS worth it to get this new(er) version of it.

Yes, the new one is great!! I think they only started sending this one out a few weeks ago, so if all you have is the older one, definitely send for the new one.

Do you think that they will send me another one?
We are going again in December --- maybe if I wait until September and request one.

I don't think you would need to wait, you should be able to go ahead and request the new one.

Just go ahead and order a new one. They don't keep track of who ordered. They just take the new orders and fill them.

I really had to look to find this link. I have ordered a DVD for me. I got an email saying it was coming and it arrived about two weeks after that. I also ordered another one for a Emily, a fellow DISer from England. When hers arrives I will send it to England and she will pay for postage.

Thank you! I talked DH into trying Disneyland instead of going back to WDW for our next trip. It won't be for a few years but I want to start getting info on it now.
