Does anyone else have this problem?

We just got back from a great, enjoyable first trip home on 10/15. Before we even got to Orlando airport to come home I was pouting. Disney is my #1 happy place and I hate when we have to leave.

DH just asked me what I was doing and I said "planning our next trip of course!". He rolled his eyes and said I was nuts. I think he just doesn't get the Disney magic......yet ;)

Does this happen to anyone else? Do you come home depressed that your vacation is over so you start planning the next one? I already told DH I am going for my bday even if I have to go alone. And I am planning a BIG trip for 2010. I think it just helps feed my DIS/Disney addiction :thumbsup2

Okayyyy...I'll fess up....I started planning our January trip before I left for the October 9th trip:thumbsup2
I MUST be in a constant state of planning to stay sane:lovestruc:worship:

You're not nuts... Planning your next vacation is the only way to minimize the depression that always sets in after a trip to the world.

yes! This is what I told DH! I said even if the trip I a semi planning (bday trip in 2 days :rolleyes1) doesn't pan out it still gives me something to look forward to. If I don't have a trip to the world to look forward to it just makes me depressed, lol

No, I don't think so. It helps pass the time in between and generates excitement for the next trip. i have been enough that I no longer need to plan, but I do like to lurk on these boards, and pick up tidbits when I can! Again, it makes the time go quicker in between. :)

It's hard for me, too! I'm finding it especially difficult because my 2 boys and DH are wanting to go outside of my Disney vacation zone! They get their boys trips and I don't tell them where to go! Why can't they just humor me and go on our family vacations without any back talk! :confused3 It just isn't 'right' to me unless I'm planning my next Disney vacation! Isn't that the reason that we bought another 'home'? ;)

We actually had to book our next year's stay the day after we returned from 14 days this July! We HAD to plan before we even left so I could enjoy the 14 days without stressing over next year!
Planning also builds anticipation, which makes you even happier to arrive the next time!

The easiest way for me to get on that plane to come home is to have the next trip already booked!! My kids say I'm nuts....I tell them if they don't want to come, I'll find someone else....or go alone!!!

If your nuts I'm there with you :lmao: DH can expect me to be at my computer planning our next trip time we get home.

Sorry, can't say you are not NUTS..... but good news is you are in good company here.

We usually start planning our next, next trip months ahead of an up coming trip and big possibility trips over a year ahead.

I agree with everyone else. There is absolutely nothing wrong with you. I am always planning at least one more trip before leaving on a trip. When we went to Italy through ABD last month we already had reservations for OKW (changed to BCV) and a 4-day cruise for May 2009. I even had the airline tickets bought already. And now we have reserved the Baltic cruise through DCL for 2010. And I am already thinking about a trip to conserve points a bit for 2011, because in 2012 we are doing the ABD tour of France with a stay at DLP and Normandy. Ok, maybe I am a bit of a freak. As you can see we already have our trips planned through 2012. YIKES! Maybe I need therapy!

If you're nuts, I'm nuts too! We were there in Sept 08, bought AKV, I came home and immediately booked SSR (Dev. Points) for January (youngest son's 3rd bday  ) and today booked our 10 day trip for Sept 09 at AKV Kidani :lmao: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: I've got a severe case of planning-its!

Me! It happens to me! My next WDW vacation won't be for a year (going to HHI in December and maybe DLR next May and/or Augues), but I'm already picking out restaurants and trying to force my brother to pick a resort (though I won't need to know until March unless he picks AKV).
