Planning Helper Question

Hello All!
If you guys had someone to help you plan out your trip, to help the whole "plotting of your course" (so to speak) would you use them? Such as helping you budget, pick a time of year to go, what days to go to each park and really making everything personal so you don't have to do the research and planning, but still make you feel like you are a part of everything? Do you guys know of anyone who does this?

I agree with Lbelle I think there are many disers that help family and friends plan their WDW trips. I know I have. I just love to share some of the ins and outs of a WDW trip. There are so many people that don't know how much magic there is to be had.

I can help with Disney hotel options - we have photos and have personally been to value, moderate, and deluxe resorts. We haven't slept in all of them but we've at least eaten at a restaurant in all but one or two. I'm not a travel agent and don't earn any commissions from Disney or anywhere else, for that matter - so there is no motivation to try to upsell you on anything. I'll try to help you find the best resort based on your preferences.

I can I'll build a custom itinerary for you to make sure you are in the least crowded park on any given day. We factor in special events or early park closures and check parade and show schedules to make sure that you have the best entertainment options available.

Once the itinerary is set, I help with all of your dining reservations. I can offer suggestions, can send sample menus, and will call and make the actual reservation for you. The more advance notice the better so that we can get your first choice.

We evaluate the best Disney ticket option so that you are not paying for features you won't use. We also track your dining options to determine whether or not the Disney Dining plan is the best choice.

Once that is settled. I start with simple surveys for each of the parks to get a feel for what you enjoy or don't enjoy. I work with you to find your preferences and we build custom touring plans around those.

About a month before your trip, you will receive your packet that includes all of our touring information in one place, although you'll be getting updates all along.

There is no limit to the number of consultations. You can even call from the parks if you have a question. We maintain regular contact by email and telephone.

If you check my user ID, you can see that I have been a regular Disboard contributor for a long time, expecially in the Resort board where I maintained the All-Star Movies resort information FAQ. I'm also a moderator on a TGM board.

My rates are pretty reasonable - $45 for the first day planned + $25 for each additional day. I don't charge for waterpark days or "down" days where you just relax, although I'm happy to do any reservations you need for those days. When you think about the calls and the time that this planning takes, you'll see that I do this because I love planning trips.

Hi! We've been to Walt Disney World 9 times in the last 8 years. I made all the arrangements for all parties that went with us with the exception of staying off property in the condo. My Parents, conveniently, have a timeshare condo in Orlando. I love doing it. I really enjoy it. In fact, we were just there for a week Nov. 4th - Nov.11th for my Birthday. It was a wonderful and magical time filled with a lot of pixie dust. I had an awesome time. I will never forget. It was funny though. Prior to going, both my Parents asked me if I really enjoy making all the arrangements. I told them if I didn't I wouldn't be doing it. If you have any questions, let me know. The planning is so enjoyable to do, especially the planning for someone else whether it be a friend or family. We have a group of 7 different households with a total of 20, 14 adults and 6 children. We get together and discuss our plans, whether only one group is planning or several of us. Right now we are the next to go in 10 days. We will all be attending the same Thanksgiving dinner today ext 3, and we'll be discussing what to do and see and the not to miss. Just last night several of us are in the planning stages of a cruise for 2008/2009 New Years Eve cruise. During the summer months, we all gather around the pool each weekend, all bringing our Disney info and any latest materials that we may have received, and discuss plans for up coming trips. We all are into planning, its much of the excitment .......and we just love to keep a trip in the planning stages.
