Looking for help with planning strategy. New to G+, doing split park day AK (am) Epcot (pm). Will purchase G+ & ILL$, we want to get on FoP & GoG, should I use my ILL$ for an afternoon GoG and try to get LL for FoP? If I do that can I not book a regular LL until 2hrs after AK opens? We plan on being at AK for rope drop…any suggestions welcome. Thanks :)

FIrst of all, FOP is only available via $ILL or standby - there is no regular G+/LL for that ride. Apologies if you already knew that (just not clear in your post above!). GOTG is also $ILL (as you note), but also has a VQ that you'd need to use if you want to wait standby. If you only do theses 2 attractions via $ILL, you don't need to purchase G+. You can purchase 2 $ILLs per day, so you'd be able to do both that day. One huge advantage of $ILL is you can select a time window, as long as it's available. G+ is only the next available time.

If you decide to use G+ for other attractions during the day, you can make your first for AK at 7AM, then again either 2 hours after park opening or (if your first attraction is prior to the 2 hours), after you tap into the attraction at AK. Your MDE app will show you when you're eligible for your next G+ selection. Eventually, you'll probably want to look at setting up G+/LL at EPCOT for that evening. Hope that helps at least a little.

As stated above, GoG and FoP are both paid individual attraction selections or individual lightning lanes ($ILL). They are separate from the G+ lightning lane selections. If you are a resort guest, you can book both at 7am. If you are not a resort guest, you have to wait until park opening to book them. They do book fast. FoP has a small chance at being available at 8:00am, but it may only be for later times which will be a problem if you plan to park hop to Epcot. GoG does sometimes have availability at park opening. Since you are looking for a later time for GoG, this may be an advantage.

If you go on the Thrill Data website for each park, it shows you the lightning lane availability for each ride each day. You'll see what time the lightning lanes, and in your case $ILLs, run out and the return time availability.

For example, for today 1/15, FoP sold out at 8:05am. At 8:00am, you could get a 4:55pm $ILL. GoG sold out at 9am. At 8:30 am, you could get a 4:40pm $ILL.

For a general course on G+, I highly suggest you watch the YouTube channel EarScouts. He has the best G+ tutorial videos out there and he goes over $ILL as well.

Can I book both ILL$ at 7am or do I have to use the 1st before I can book the 2nd one?

Since you are asking about booking at 7am, I am going to assume you are a resort guest. To answer this question, you can book both at 7am. In this case, you have a very good chance at getting optimal ILL$s for your plan. During the booking process, you will be shown a list of return times to choose from. Keep in mind, they go fast. Do the FoP one first to have a better chance at getting one before 2pm.
