Staying at PPH july 28th-August 3rd. Have a 5 day park hopper. It's also my 30th birthday and first time ever to disneyland. Here is my tentative schedule. Let me know if I should delete, or add anything? I am having trouble deciding on dining times ( I LOVE to eat and eat three meals a day at Disney World- I see dining as part of the attraction).

Day 1- Arrival SNA- 12:50
Naples- 2:30
Pool
Napa Rose Chef Counter- 8:30

Day 2- July 29th Disneyland
Plaza inn breakfast
Carnation Cafe
Blue Bayou PTN package

Day 3- CA Adventure
Breakfast Storytellers
Carthay Circle WOC package
Flos

Day 4 Disneyland
Goofys Kitchen breakfast
River Belle Terrace
Cafe Orleans

Day 5 Birthday Ca Adventure
Ariel's Grotto breakfast
Wine Country
Steakhouse 55
WOC dessert party

Day 6- a little bit of everything
Surfs Up breakfast
Walk in Walt's Footsteps tour
Tortillo Jo's
Cove Bar- either before Jo's or for WOC

The only extra magic hour I believe is on my birthday at CA Adventure.

Also, I am scared of ducks. Would I be OK eating outside at Carnation, flos, cafe orleans, river belle terrace, ariels, wine country and cove bar?

How do you feel about ducks in sailor suits? ;)

Seriously though, there are ducks all over DL. But they probably won't bother you. They don't seem too scared of people though and will walk through the street when crowds are down. I've seen them take flight as well.

The first thing I've noticed is that you have 5 character breakfasts on your list. I hope money isn't an object, 'cause those are EXPENSIVE, usually about $40 per person. Also, if you're staying at Paradise Pier Hotel (or any of the three Disney on-site hotels), you'll get Extra Magic Hour EVERY morning of your stay, usually into Disneyland on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday, then California Adventure on Mon, Wed, Fri, and Sun.

On Day 5 I think you have too many meals. I'd do the last breakfast at Ariel's then an early dinner at SH55. The WOC DP has a VERY filling dessert box by all reports. And I agree about missing out on the slowest time in the parks doing that many breakfasts. Expect the parks to open at 8am and EMH at 7am - you won't have time to eat before going to a park for EMH - though you could book late breakfasts and maybe skip a couple of the lunches. I'm having a really hard time narrowing our meals down for our August trip too. At this point we're looking at getting AP's for an extra day and a half or so in the parks and to eat more meals.

Remember that DLR is much smaller than WDW and there is less walking involved. Will you be able to walk off enough of these meals to enjoy the next one on the list? Does your fear of ducks entail just having them wandering around your table or does it extend to even seeing them near you? If your fear is quite bad, the pp is right that there are ducks all over DLR throughout the day. Some are wandering on the grassy areas, some are swimming in the water areas, some will take off right in front of you. We've never had a problem with a duck bothering us or touching us, although it has been really hard to restrain ourselves from trying to touch the ducklings.
