We are going soon (so excited)!!!!! And I need some date planning advice. We are going for 5 days, plus MHP night. Hotel is booked for Sun 9/28 to the following Sunday. Might cut a day to hotel depending on our schedule. What date during that week would you take as your non park play by the pool day? Would prefer Sunday, but that's a late park hours/fireworks day.

That week is the start of Gay's Days and that weekend is the full event, so we know it will be more crowded. The last 3 years we went around this same time (the week after) and always choose Tuesday for MHP and Friday was our last day in the parks. Since DL is closed Friday for MHP CAP was always super super crazy packed and we barely got any rides in. It wasn't really a fun way to end Disneyland, but was still awesome.

Which days would you choose for park days, and would you go to MHP on Tuesday or Friday? Never went on a Friday, do they sell the same amount of tickets for both days? Any advice would be great!! We will be staying onsite and have a dd (7), 3 of us total. Thank you!!!!

Great time to go! We are 1 day ahead of you for the full week. In on the 27th and out on the 4th.

Sunday is the only day you can see the normal fireworks, and Tuesday you can see the Halloween fireworks (MHP).

Friday's MHP is already sold out, so it looks like you will be there on Tuesday... BUT get them soon!

DL is closing early (at 6pm) on Wednesday the 1st as well, so on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday DCA is gonna be BUSY!!!

We are planning to do Sunday at DL, Monday at DCA, Tuesday - retail thearpy, then MHP that evening. Wednesday mixed DL and DCA, Thursday DL, and Friday DL during the day and DCA at night.

I would think that either Wednesday or Friday would be the good day to sit back and relax around the pool.

Travelling with the big kids (22,23, and 25) so they can live it up!

The party on Friday Oct 3rd has already sold out. If you definitely want to do the party that week, buy your tickets for the Tuesday now, to be sure you get them.

If you decide to go to the party on the 3rd you can call in to purchase tickets. People have reported on other threads doing that.
