We're traveling Dec 4th to the 8th. That's 5 days staying at ASMu. Here's my dilemma. The ONLY Absolutely MUST DO for me is to be at Cinderella's Castle on the first night for the fireworks.

Here's the thing, we'll be arriving at WDW about noon on our first day. What should we do first. I really can't fathom going to MK at noon and staying there ALL DAY LONG until the fireworks. Should we go to another park (we have Park Hopper) or hang at the hotel for a little while (even though we can't technically check in until 4)? I'm really at a loss. I'm not even sure if I want to do a TS meal for dinner that first night just so I don't miss it.

BTW, we're traveling with two 17 year old girls and a 6 year old boy. So advice from BTDT folk would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks.

I'm pretty sure there's a MVMCP on the 4th, so you'll need to buy a ticket to the party if you want to see the fireworks that night.

If you don't want to go that route, I suggest just planning to fit the fireworks into one night of your trip, depending on what nights have MVMCP and what your other plans are. If you're too rigid in your plans (i.e. I must do/see this certain thing on my 1st day, last day, etc.) I think you'll be setting yourself up for some disappointments. You do need to plan what you want to see and do, but you also need to be a little bit flexible to get it done.

Have a fun trip! :goodvibes

We were planning on doing the Party anyway. Do you think it might be too much for our first day. This is my first visit and I really feel like when I see the fireworks over that castle, I'll really be THERE, y'know!

I just want to get the first day planned (sort of) and then kind of wing it for the rest. We have park hoppers so bouncing around won't bother me too much. DH isn't really one for planning and he knows how excited I am about this trip since it's my first time.

We'll be there at the same time (5th-13th). :yay:

If you don't want to spend the entire day at MK, maybe you could have a late lunch at another resort you want to visit. Or go shopping at Downtown Disney. Or if you do want to go to a park, maybe visit Epcot. It's easy to hop to MK from...you can just take the monorail from Epcot to TTC and then another monorail or boat to MK.

If you decide to go to the party the first night you can get in a 4pm with the special event tickets, if you plan on eating at the park get an earlier reservation so you won't miss out on any of the party highlights, but I would eat in the park as it does get very busy with everyone coming and the CM trying to get all the other non party guests to leave
