Planning the last day of our trip. We want to eat dinner at CRT, planning for 5:45 reservation. We will also plan to do the HEA Dessert Party that night. Is that too much, too close together?

Personally I would not do any sit down dinner before the dessert party. I only eat a small light CS meal, earlier, or share a CS meal. That is wayyyyyyy too much food for me.

Agree, I wouldn't eat dinner before the party. We went last week and did lunch and then some late afternoon snacks prior to the party so we could enjoy as much of the dessert as possible.

I'm eating a dinner before my dessert party - foregoing dessert at dinner to enjoy some at the party. For me the dessert party saves me the hassle of fighting people for a spot, having someone show up last minute for a spot and acting like im a jerk for not giving up my spot to a child (this has happened to me before and it was awful), or having CM yell at me to keep moving or I can't stand somewhere. So I think if you want to do dinner beforehand that would be a good time BUT keep in mind dessert is included with CRT's dinner so maybe not that dinner. :)

What time is arrival time for the party that night? I've done dinner before a dessert party and I just skip dessert. That being said, if CRT runs 90 - 120 minutes, you might be bumping right up to the party start time. Would you consider CRT lunch that day instead? Even a late lunch. It might spread the food out a little more and give you a little breathing room.

We are just planning on having a snack or maybe split a few QS before the party. Just enough to ward off anyone getting hangry!

I didn't consider that CRT included dessert. Going to try to talk the group into doing lunch instead. We are also going to MK on the morning of MNSSHP and not going to the party. Was thinking of going before we left the park that day, but not seeing dinner as an option yet on those days. If they add them, will probably try to do that.
