Trying to finalize plans for March trip. TouringPlans keeps changing the recommened parks for each day so I'm not sure what to do. I have about 2 weeks before my 180 day window.. trying to finalize things...

Do most of you just make the initial plans and then change later if your park plans change?

Here are my current thoughts (trip is just me and 8yo dd) with free DDP. I upgraded her to adult because she is a good adventurous eater. We have 4 day park hoppers...

Arrival Day: (no parks) Ohana for dinner
Day 1: La Hacienda - Epcot - can't decide whether to go before Illuminations or book closer to it and hope for a nice window seat
Day 2: Crystal Palace at MK (lunch or dinner?)
Day 3: If weather is warm enough - this will be a water park day.. we are staying at POFQ so may take boat to DTD that night and do CS at WP Express (If weather is not warm enough - we will go to AK)
Day 4: Mama Melrose Fantasmic Plan

So.. I still have one TS left... I guess we could do nice breakfast before the water park on Day 3... or I've been wanting to try Liberty Tree Tavern at MK.. not sure if CP and LTT on the same day would be too much though...

Suggestions??? :confused3

Haha we are going in a week and are on the deluxe plan for the first 4 days and are doing Crystal Palace (at 11:30 early lunch) and Liberty Tree for dinner(6:45PM). I know 2 TS in any day is a lot, but I think that is spread out enough. Or you could do CP as a breakfast and LTT for dinner.

We definitely go ahead and make initial plans as far out as possible based on where we think we will be according to TP's crowd calendar. Then...I spend 180 days changing ADRs! It's all part of the magic for me. :rotfl:

La Hacienda - I'd try to get a nice window seat for Illuminations.
Crystal Palace at MK (lunch or dinner?) -- does she like the Pooh characters?
Day 3: If you go to AK, maybe try Boma after the park closes, if she is an adventurous eater.

I'd try to get a princess meal in there if she is into the princesses. Either Akershus at Norway (1 TS) or Cinderella's Royal Table (2 TS) at Magic Kingdom.

How exciting for you to be taking a Mother/Daughter trip together!

She still loves Pooh... but not the princesses anymore so no princess meals for us.

I would love to try Boma - even thought about that for our first night -- just not sure how hard it will be to get from POFQ to Boma for dinner... If I end up getting a car then we might do that.

Gotcha on the Princesses...our DD is a huge Princess fan, so still in that mode.

We've used DTD as a transfer point between resorts. POFQ to DTD, then DTD to AKL for Boma, then back again. It's not impossible, does take a little extra time. But, we usually spend some time at DTD anyway. You can do the same thing with any park that is still open. I do wish there was an easier way to travel between some of the resorts...this has been a dilemma for us many times.

If illuminations is important I'd do dinner FIRST. There are not many tables at La Hacienda that have window seats. And many people try to do just what you are suggesting. When we were there a few months ago they wouldn't even let you wait for a window seat. We also noticed that when we arrived it was 8:00 and there were people in the window seats that already had their entrees and they were almost gone. They waited and held up the table because at 9 they were still there with there coffee! :confused3

if illuminations is a - that would be nice- sort of situation... then try it!

I haven't seen Illuminations in years so it is a must this time.. I think I will schedule dinner earlier and then we'll go find a spot to watch. I would rather see it outside in all of its full glory !
