Planning for dh's 40th so we can do HP.

We want to stay on site and we are a family of 6, though the youngest won't even be 2, yet. 2A, 4 kiddos.

Advice? Tips? I'm guessing we would stay maybe 3 days tops.

I know absolutely nothing about planning a stay there. When should I be looking to book?

We want on site for the Line bypassing perks even though they don't extend to all rides. It will also overlap with ds's 5th birthday---so the trip is about the boys with the other 4 of us girls joining in on the fun. Ages of kids during trip: 11, 9, 5, 21 months.

We will not be Florida residents so must look to save money via other discount/promotions that apply to non-Florida residents.

They do offer discounts for the Loew's hotels sometimes but I almost always only hear about them. I am the world's worst at finding discounts! I did find the Royal Pacific at a good price on Expedia once. I will say that any of the three are great hotels so I would snatch up any of them if you see a good price.

The front of the line thing is wonderful. Only Rip Ride Rockit and Forbidden Journey is excluded. Oh, I believe that the Pteranodon Flyers in Jurassic Park isn't included either but this one is no big deal IMO.

Three days sounds good. You should be able to easily tour the two parks with front of the line plus pool hop if you get in the mood. It's also easy to walk to Citywalk and eat and just explore too.
