Not looking forward to the last day of our cruise, but trying to plan.... debating on if we should do a sit-down breakfast or just the buffet on our last day. We will be renting a car after the cruise and exploring Kennedy Space Center for a few hours before we head to MCO for our flight home. I'm not clear as to where we would keep our luggage if we did a sit down meal. We will be the early dining so is it possible to eat breakfast and get back to our room and collect our luggage by 8:00, when they said we need to be out of our room? Or is it better to keep our luggage outside or our room the night before and pick up after customs? Thanks!! So much to plan!!!

You must be out of your room by 8:00. If you can eat and get back to your room by then, then you can leave your bags in your room. Otherwise, you'll have to lug them around with you. Are you not planning on putting your bags outside your room the last night? You can put larger (checked) bags outside your room the last night and only have your carry ons to handle in the morning and off the ship. If you keep them with you, you'll have to stack them up outside the dining room when you go to eat.

Personally, I like having DCL handle the big bags off the ship.

If you want as much time as possible at the space center, I would recommend keeping your luggage, going to the buffet in the morning, and participating in the express walk-off which usually begins at 7:45. However, if time isn't that much of an issue, definitely go to your assigned breakfast because it is a great way to say goodbye to your servers and possibly table-mates :-) If you do the sit down breakfast, I would leave the luggage out the night before because it shouldn't make too much of a time difference and it will make your morning much easier.

If you leave your luggage out the night before, how do you check your toiletries etc. that you need for your am shower??

You just leave out enough for you to use. My husband squeezes out a bit of toothpaste onto a plastic baggie to use in the morning. My deodorant is small enough for our carry on bags, so we both use it.

That said, unless you're participating in the Onboard Airline check in, you'll pick up your bags in the terminal and take them through customs/immigration. You can move your items into your checked bags at that time.

Thanks!! So, if I leave my bags out the night before and get them in the morning, is it a pretty easy process? Not to chaotic? Never done this before, I'm not sure what to expect. Sorry for the the questions, newbie to Disney Cruise!!!

It is very easy getting your bags in the terminal. Easier than hauling them off the ship yourself. There are porters in the terminal that can help also.
