Planning for Feb. 2012 -Need Help

We have been members for years (love it), we have 610 points split between BCV and AKV, and we still are borrowing ahead.
Here's what I'm trying to figure out:
In Feb. 2012 we are celebrating our 40th anniversary and will be providing accommodations at AKV Kidani for everyone. We will need 857 points to do this. I will leave our BCV points out of the equations since I know I will have to book at 11 months to get what we want.
We have a June use year, we've already used all our 2011 points, we will have 310 coming June 2012. Can those be used for a Feb. 2012 reservation without borrowing them? Then we could borrow our June 2013 points to use?

I'm thinking we have to borrow our June 2012 points to use for a Feb. 2012 ressie, which means I will need to rent or buy/transfer 547 AKV points.

Does that sound right? Please help, I'm having a terrible time wrapping my brain around this.

Yes, in Feb 2012 you will still be in your June 2011 UY so to use 2012 points you will have to borrow. You won't be able to use your 2013 points.

Are you going for a GV? Otherwise I'd say you'll have good luck at 7 months if you want to use BCV points too.

We are looking at a GV, a 2 bedroom, and 2 studios. I'm pretty sure I can get the studios at the 7 month window, but definitely not the GV, and not sure of the 2 bedroom. I would just be much more comfortable if I could book them all at once.

Yes, I'd worry about the GV but I think you'd be able to get the 2BR and studios at 7 months. But I understand since it's such a special occasion. It's too bad it won't work to use the 2013 points.

your use year is June to May

so June, 2011 to May 2012 is your 2011 year.
June, 2012 to May, 2013 is your 2012 year.

since you are going in Feb, 2012 - you can only borrow your 2012 points,

even the 25 points that Dvc will allow you to buy for a one time visit won't help much.

Sure you don't want to do this for your 45th anniversary and start planning much sooner?

Remember the 24 points you can purchase is for use at the 7 month mark, not the 11 month mark.

One-time-use vacation points used for Disney Vacation Club resort reservations can only be used up to 7 months prior to arrival.

So these points will not help the OP book anything at 7 months. The OP's only options are:

1. Rent AKV points from another member

2. Buy more AKV points, but I just saw a 200 point resale contract for $82 pp, thats $16,000.

3. Use the BCV points at the 7 months to book the 2 BR and studios. You could do buy the one time per UY points with these reservations.

4. Pay for some of the rooms with cash using either the DVC member discount or an AP discount.

Thanks everyone for all the help. I think I will stick with Feb. 2012 and rent the extra needed points from members.
I realize that I could most likely wait till the 7 month window for the two bedroom and the studios, but for this occasion I don't want to chance it.
