Planning for character breakfast at The Crystal Palace

We are going to MK on 4/29/14 with 7 other people including a 2 year old and 4 year old. I made reservations for an early character breakfast at 8th at the crystal palace. What time should we actually arrive? We are not staying on site and we will have a double stroller for the kids with us. Will we even be able to ride the tram? Just trying to figure out how much time to allow so we make the reservation on time! TIA for any tips!!!
