Hello!

I'm trying to get a head start on planning my vacation for Sept 2018...My DH and I were married in 2013 in WDW and this will be out 5 year anniversary and we're turning 30 that year! Figured we'd make it magical and celebrate at WDW since I teach Pre-k and kindergarten year round and I don't get much time off. :(

I know that Disney hasn't updated their pricing and booking information yet (or if they have, I haven't found it) but I wanted to know if there were any tips, advice or information anyone could give us since we haven't gone in 5 years. We don't have children but we are planning on vacationing with our friends who each have 2 kids. (We aren't all staying together)

Thank you!!

<3,
a stressed out teacher, unsure where to start

Love the food at Kona, but it's a bit noisy/busy for an anniversary dinner.

Congratulations on your anniversary! As a teacher myself, I feel your pain and I am constantly counting down the time until my next Disney vacation and trying to fit it in when I am able to get off of work.

The restaurants listed in the quiz above are all great for an anniversary dinner. Due to the nature of Disney, really no matter what restaurant you pick it will be crowded and possibly on the loud side. Your trip will be as magical as you allow it to be, don't let the crowds or anything else get in your way go becoming immersed in your vacation. Make your own magical moments, don't wait for someone else to make them for you. My recommendation for a restaurant would be Be Our Guest. My fiancé and I have had numerous anniversary dinners there and each one is magical no matter if you are seated in the West Wing or the Ballroom (do try the grey stuff, it really is delicious). Since those reservations can be very tricky to come by, my second choice would be Sanaa. The Animal Kingdom Lodge is one of the best resorts on Disney property and all of the food in all of its restaurants is incredible.

If you are going when it is available, I would highly recommend going to MNSSHP. It is a fantastic event with great entertainment, and characters, you won't see any other time of the year. And the best part of the party is the crowds are significantly lower! Wait times for rides are drastically shorter (when we went this past Sept., the wait for 7DMT was only 30 minutes when it was over 90 minutes earlier in the day).

Planning for Disney can be stressful, but remember at the end of the day you will be at the most magical place on earth. If things become overwhelming (especially the heat) you can also go back to your resort to relax or go to Disney Springs and do some shopping.

My wife and I love Sanaa and went there on our "date" day when we were at Disney with my family. It was the one meal we had without the family and we loved it, both for the food and atmosphere.

Trattoria or Sanaa. We went to Trattoria in january and had the best service we've ever had at a disney restaurant. I highly recommend it. Sanaa is also wonderful.

Be Our Guest is beautiful and the setting is incredibly romantic, but it can be quite noisy. I've noticed that the Rose Gallery is much quieter than the ballroom, however (we have yet to eat in the West Wing, unfortunately, but it seems quieter too). We haven't eaten at any of the other restaurants on your list, though we'll be eating at two of them in May. From what I've heard from friends, Sanaa would be a great choice!
