Planning for 2008....some questions in here...

How are the crowds the last part of June?? It can't get any hotter than it was when we were there in October during the heatwave (DH says I thought it was October, not August!!) So we know what to expect as far as the heat goes.....we are spoiled by the FOTL walk on we did at the end of April. How is FOTL at the end of June? Long waits?

just trying to decide upon last week of April, first week of May, or end of June. B#1 and B#3 have had their birthday trips to US/IOA (April & October)and we told B#2 that its always a bit too crowded around her birthday (June 29th) so we haven't gone yet.....but, if the crowds are manageable, we may consider it even go a week earlier

Well, I would never say I am an expert since we have only been there once. But we just got back two days ago from 4 days in Universal at the end of June. This was our first time at Universal; we have gone to WDW several times over the summer. We were very pleased with the size of the crowds last week. FOTL was wonderful!! Many times we were able to walk right onto attractions. Those times when there was a longer wait was due to the type of attraction and waiting for the next "show" rather than crowd size. We never waited longer than 10 minutes to get onto a ride. (and very often there was no wait at all).

I am not afraid of the heat. It's more the size of the crowds. We stay onsite so knowing the FOTL was just like it was back at the end of April is good news!

well, i guess that would be me sorry took so long to get here....

we went the last week of june last year and this year (26th - 1st). Both years were great! No more than 5 or 10 minutes. Other lines were 45-60minutes and we were riding 2, 3, 4 times in a row! (Kinda felt bad for the peeps waiting 2 hours for Popeye and we were soaked going on again....but, i only felt their pain for a moment )

The heat is no matter, cuz you are in attractions and shows so much, the only heat is walking from one to the other..... With FOTL, it matters not when you go..... Altho, we went in Feb., and were actually dissappointed that the EP lines were closed because it wasn't crowded...AT ALL!

We are leaving UO on June 29th next year for our Disney cruise that day...we will probably be at UO for 3 or 4 days before that tho....have to work dates when we get home

You're welcome....it is a little more crowded, but not a big deal...not Disney crowded! You just have to be more observant to what time you are eating (but we usually eat 5ish anyway), other than that, it's just more people to walk past in the EP line and feel more of a vip!
