Planning first trip for January 2019! Hi everybody!

Well, I'm old enough to remember when 'Star Wars' opened in 1977 - it was my first major movie obsession and I was IN LOVE with Luke Skywalker! (this started my lifelong preference for blue-eyed blonds), but given our timetable I think HS is the park we're going to have to skip. My WDW-friend highly recommends Animal Kingdom, but also suggests we do a "down day" between day 1 and 3, and just go around the resorts and Disney Springs. So I'm still trying to get that part figured out. Fortunately I have this great board to help me out! :-)

Oh my , NO DOWN DAY!!!! I am so sorry to shout, but honestly, you simply do not have time to take a day off on a three day trip.

SInce you cannot add a day, I would think about what you want to see in each park, and perhaps getting a hopper so you can at least get into all of them. I think it is a huge miscalculation to view WDW parks as attractions based, although there are plenty of attractions for everyone. There is so much more! For instance, in the MK there is Micky's Philharmagic, which is my favorite, but while you are in that area of FantasyLand there are so many details to enjoy that you can get lost in them. If you are in ANimal Kingdom and miss the trails, you miss so many lovely areas of this beautiful park. Th reason to visit is not for Everest, but to also enjoy the carvings, the crafts, the shows, and the utter beauty of this beautiful park.

In EPcot, the WOrld SHowcase alone can take a day. And not one attraction needs to be entered to do so. There are shows throughout the day, and the miniature versions of each COuntry's landmarks are a sight to enjoy.

DHS is new to me with teh new LAnd opening and the closure of some of the attractions and areas, however I belive it offers a lot still. It is a pretty park, IMO, and worth at least 1/2 day.

WE still have nor discussed evening entertainment in each park, and I have spent your entire three days.
