Planning a trip for late Feb 2019. I know WDW packages come out on the 19th, but what about DLR? Do they come out the same day or is their's separate? I have Googled with no luck. Thanks!

Disneyland doesn't do things the same way Disney World does... there are hotel/ticket "packages," but most people book hotel and tickets separately (and most visitors aren't staying in a Disney-owned hotel), so lots of people will already have booked hotels for next Feb. and will just buy tickets whenever.

Hope that helps. There's a thread on DL for DW vets; let me find it and I'll link it for you...

Thanks! Just curious because when I go to different travel planning sites like dreams unlimited, costco travel, etc., it will not let me put in those dates and only allows for 2018 dates to be inputted

Disneyland packages are typically released around the same time as WDW. If you are going to be staying at a good neighbor hotel, you can often get a better rate booking directly with the hotel and buying tickets separately then through a WDTC package.

I do plan on staying with a Good Neighbor hotel. Would it be advisable to use a travel agent if I am not familiar with DLR?

Iv been going to Disneyland every year for the last 9 years. Most people dont stay onsite, as there are only 3 Disney hotels and many of the off site hotels have a shorter walk to the entrance turnstiles.

Most people book their offsite hotel and park tickets separately. People either book direct with the hotel or through Expedia or use chain points or other discounts. Tickets can booked through Last Minute Travel Club for less than direct through Disney.

Possibly, but you’ll be able to get a lot of information right here on the boards. It’s nowhere even close to the planning beast that WDW is. If you are a WDW vet I highly recommend reading @HydroGuy ’s super thread.

Yup, I would agree. No reason to use a TA. It is a much more easy going, simple trip than WDW! Book your hotel using points or Costco or whatever the best deal you can get is, and buy your tickets when you find a good deal. Some people buy gift cards at Costco or Sam’s Club or at Target using a Red Card and then buy tickets at a small discount that way. Some use Last Minute Travel Club it ARES Travel for tickets. There is no dining plan and you can’t (don’t even need to) book dining until 60 days out. No advance FP either.

Check Mousesavers.com for good deals on hotels, rental cars, and tickets. The recs above are good. too. It is so much easier and cheaper to book a DLR trip for yourself. Just ask any questons here -- you'll get great advice and tips!
