Hi,

We're going on a trip to Orlando from the 10th to 27th of april 2003. I'm travelling with DS(1) and DS(5) and Grandma Now I've been looking on the internet to get a plan made of the different things to do and the rides to go on at the parcs, but I didn't find anything good yet! I'm also looking for the times of all the shows (beauty and the beast etc) and special things to goto with the kids. Things like the campfire at Fort Wilderness etc. How does everybody find these things?? I guess I'm not looking at the right places. Any ideas?? Thanks in advance!!

first welcome to the DIS!!!
have you checked out www.wdwinfo.com and www.wdwig.com yet? if not, these two sites and these boards are the only places you will need. also check out our family board. lots of good info about taking small children.
good luck and have a great vacation!!!

As far as I know, show times aren't usually online, or at least I couldn't find any sites when I was planning recently. Show times change. When you get there, pick up a Times Guide, this is separate from the parks map, and lists show times, and updated info.

Have you been on www.wdwig.com ? It's an awesome resource! There you'll find tons of info about the parks, restaurants, ect, to explore before you leave.

I started taking my kids to DW when they were 1 & 3 (almost 4). I rented a stroller for both kids, I guarantee you by the middle/end of the day your older child will be happy to be a baby again! Try not to rush through everything, my kids had a great time just being there. A couple of 'break' places we found our first trip and loved were in MK on Main Street near the entrance, facing the train depot, at the little park circle. We sat down with some popcorn and icecream and without our expecting it, all of the sudden a bunch of characters put on a show up on the train platform, we had a perfect view! Another even more relaxing rest stop was at Epcot in Japan. They have a beautiful Japanese garden (we called it our Zen garden!) Little bridges and water, a patio area with tables off the restaurant with a little pond. The kids loved it (still do at 9 & 6) great place to let the kids play and sip a cool drink. Now it's on our must do list!

Have a great trip! :)
