We will be celebrating our 20th anniversary in the Parks this September. I'm trying to plan out our dining options. The only thing I have so far is dinner at the Napa Rose on the 23rd, our anniversary.

Looking to do breakfast the next morning and thinking of one of the buffets. Don't really care much for character interaction, so looking for quality of the food. Storytellers still the best as far as selection and quality? How much better than Plaza Inn? It would be nice to start off in the Park, but not at the expense of food quality.

We are also doing MHP on the 25th, so I'll be making a reservation at the BB for that night.

Storytellers has good quality food for breakfast (buffet)- standard breakfast buffet fare. I think in terms of which had the best food, I preferred the breakfast at Ariel's Grotto (DD5 loved all the princess interactions too) - but both are fine choices. Ariel's breakfast is ala carte (a small number of choices). Plaza Inn was fine too but I thought the food was better at Ariel's and Storytellers. We can't eat gluten so a lot of the buffet options are n/a for us so I'm mainly comparing against the basics (eggs, sausage, bacon, fruit & gluten free baked stuff they made us like pancakes or waffles). Ariels had special stuff like frittata and ti-tip too.

If you are at the parks on a Sunday I highly recommend the Ralf Brennan's Jazz Kitchen brunch in Downtown Disney.

Is BB open during the Halloween Party? I thought a lot of the table service restaurants closed during the parties.

D'oh! Just looked. Last available reservation is for 3:30 in the afternoon.

I'll have to rethink dinner for that night.

Oh bummer! Yeah I just went and looked as well and it looks like the latest reservation for that night at any restaurant in DL is just before 6.

Have a fabulous anniversary trip! :)

Just to put a thought in your head...You might want to rethink the idea of a buffet breakfast the next morning.

EVERYTHING about Napa Rose is amazing, particularly the food. From our experience this past April, because the food is so rich we only needed/wanted a lighter breakfast the next morning.

Now your mileage may vary on that but if you are spending the money on a breakfast buffet the next morning you may not get quite the value out of it.

As far as breakfast goes, If you are re-thinking doing buffet, we really loved the Carnation Cafe breakfast. It isn't buffet, but the options were really good, the scenery was lovely (sitting outside on main street) and Oscar the chef came to see us and speak to us about our meal. We really love having breakfast there.

If breakfast doesn't have to be buffet style, look at the menu for Steakhouse 55. We love eating breakfast there. The service is always great, and it is so fun looking at the photos of classic Hollywood stars. Wherever you choose to dine, make sure to note on the reservation that you'll be celebrating your anniversary. The CMs will make your meal special!
