We will be traveling with three girls: 7, 6, and 4. The two older ones have been to WDW before. It will be an August (2015) trip starting around August 15, so when the crowds start to go down but still at moderate levels. We will have 6 full and one half day. We are not planning on hopping.

We are planning one day at AK; one day at DHS. The question is how to divide the other 4 and 1/2 days between MK and EPCOT. I feel we can do everything at EPCOT that we must do in one day, but we won't have time to do Innovations or take our time in World Showcase. But doing EPCOT in one day would let our MK days be more leisurely.

Would you do one full, rushed day at EPCOT and 3 1/2 leisurely days at MK or 2 leisurely days at EPCOT and 2 1/2 more full, rushed days at MK?

(And I know I'm crazy to be planning August 2015 now, but we rent points and do split stays, so I need to be ready with plans before August of this year. At least that is how I'm justifying it to myself!)

I would probably do at least 1 1/2 days in Epcot, if not 2 full days since it sounds like you don't think that only one day would be enough. I love Epcot, and we have never had enough time to really explore it, so I would probably go with the 2 full days.

I would do 2 full days at Epcot. You need to factor in all of Future World plus there are so many shows and princess meets in World Showcase! It's also a lot of ground to cover.

I usually do four park days - one full day in each park, but with extra time, would add in another MK day first, then another Epcot - with kids. Probably the opposite without.

Lastly, I would recommend spacing your days - so if you have 2.5 MK days, don't do them all in a row. princess:

If you need to plan ahead, plan 2 days for MK and 2 days for EP and figure out the half later. We find it's best to focus on Future World one day - and then anything in World Showcase is a bonus IF we make it over there. The next day, the focus is World Showcase, but we're rope droppers so we do some in Future World first. For us, we would do 2.5 EP and 2.0 at MK if we had 4.5 days. (We might even drop to 1.5 MK and 3 at EP - our kids love EP!) We spent 3 days at Epcot on our last trip and could have spent more! Another option is to keep a day or two open at the end and figure that out as you go. That has worked well for us.

My kids absolutely love Innoventions and World Showcase, so I'd give those some time if possible. Plus, Innoventions is inside - which is a huge plus for August heat/thunderstorms.

Can you add a half day to Epcot? Maybe at night. I think we end up in Epcot at night for 4 of our 5 park nights.

OT but do you have any nOn park days scheduled? I love going in August and it is hot which means we all tire quicker so a few non park days are vital to my kids and our sanity. Of course my kids sleep in til 8 or so on those days and I have been up for a few hours and did laundry and I get my alone time by the pool getting our table in the shade for the day. We leave our room by 7-7:15 to get to the park before 8. Come back and nap mid day in the a/c and go back il closing. ANd even my oldest who was 12 last August napped. But this is assuming you are rope drop people.

And it is never too early to plan. We aren't going back until 2018 and stay at the poly but with all the changes there I am worried so my mind goes back and forth between the CR or the GF.

For us AK is half or 3/4 day.. we have a great zoo in St. Louis and it's free...

I am a 2 days at epcot - One there is a lot to see, in the light then in the dark. Just think its a different park at night. Strolling the world at night, like I am in paris....:rotfl2:

The biggest factor in selecting parks are now going to be Fastpass + selection you get and how extra magic hours set-up. Get that excell sheet started

We usually spend 1 day at AK, 2 at HS, and 3 at each MK and Epcot.

This past trip we decided to drop our second day at HS for an extra day at MK. I've never spent 4 days during one vacation at MK but we had a lot of fun and got to repeat a lot of our favorites.
