Planning Christmas/NewYears trip from Calgary.

We are trying to plan a trip to either Disneyland or DisneyWorld which ever has best deals. Would like to know where other Albertans booked there trips from? best flight deals? Hotels? Onsite or Offsite? Any info and all info will be greatly appreciated. Its a Surprise for the kids. Thanks in advance.

Are you talking about THIS Christmas? I would start checking things out ASAP, as this is a very busy time and it may be hard to get availability. The Disboards are a great resource, but I think you need to decide what you actually want to do! It's obviously a lot cheaper to do DL vs. WDW being on the West, but the experiences are completely different.

I would do a bit of research in terms of what you want to spend, and do on your holiday and then book ASAP. Dining etc. will be near impossible for this week, so you want to decide quick!

Im a DVC member, so we always stay on site... and use West Jet for direct flights out of Calgary. It really all depends on availability, budget and what you envision your holiday to be!

I actually think Disney World had the best deals....whenever I checked out pricing to DL from Edmonton, the deals didn't seem as good. I love that WDW offers the Dining plan, and I believe they even have some Free dining this Dec going on. I love WDW, so much more to do!
I would like to go back to DL one day....last time I went was for a few days in 1990, so I know a lot has changed! I agree with the PP, you should start pricing things out ASAP if it is for this year!!! pickin's are getting slim, I believe

If you have never done a Disney trip I highly suggest Disneyland first.
