We will be at the World Dec. 18-23 this year. We would like to plan to do Chef Mickey's for breakfast on our departure morning. We will need to pack up and move out of Saratoga Springs before we head to breakfast. We will have a car so that will make things easier. What time would you all suggest that we try to make our ADR? We don't won't too early.

If you don't have a flight to worry about I would eat between 10 and 10:30. That way you won't fill too rushed packing up.

We have done Chef Mickeys twice on departing days. We did it right before having to catch a flight. While I can't recall the exact times we made reservations for, I do know it is a great thng to do before leaving the world!:thumbsup2

That has been our family tradition for every trip (and always will be!) We pack up the car and go for a late breakfast, more of a brunch. We do a late seating and fill up before we start the long drive home. It gives us something to look forward to on our last day, makes it a little less sad to leave.

Last year we did a similar thing on the last day, only at Ohana. We had breakfast at 9:55. This year we are doing the late breakfast at 10:25. I like the later breakfast becasue we can sleep in a little and finish packing before we get in the car to go.

is our traditional last meal before departure. We usually do a 10:00 AM meal and then head to DTD for last minute shopping. This past trip I accidentally booked the ADR on the wrong date. I kept checking the online system and finally found an opening for 11:25. We just switched our shopping to before breakfast and it worked out.

I am pushing for the later time on the next trip. DTD is less crowded when it first opens. Also CM took less time and we saw the characters more. Usually it takes us about 90 minutes to see all of the characters when we eat around 10:00 AM. This past time it took us an hour. All of the late diners were in the same section. The characters that came around earlier came around again to ensure they saw all of the guests. At one time we had three characters in the area and they were willing to revisit any table.

I agree around 10 is good. We did our morning of departure breakfast there in Sept (we stayed at BLT so it was easy). Definitely a good way to fill up before hitting the road.

I think I will shoot for 10-10:30. I believe we have to be out of our rooms by 11:00 anyway. Will the food still be fresh at that time?
