Planning blues -- and a question

I need to vent a little. It was a bad day AND DW and DD17 are at each others throats AND I found out that Dec at WDW won't happen. -- and I have a question

I have to cancel our plans for next December because the school system just came out with their schedule and those days aren't all included. We can't go later because we have to be in Memphis for Xmas. I would love to go in February (less heat). We have days off BUT it's a week before the state dive competition so I'm pretty sure my oldest DD (HS Senior next year) would refuse to go. We usually go skiing over spring break in March. And no one wants to go in mid-summer because of the heat. Also, we do HH late May so that's taken.

SO, I'm looking at October. I now have 4 days booked in a GV at OKW and 3 waitlisted: (Sun, Wed and Thurs night were not available). So we will probably do that IF the DMIL and DFIL can go and IF the school system doesn't change the schedule and IF I can drag my wife and DD17 down there. You'd think a GV would be big enough for the 2 of them wouldn't you.

The question: What are my chances of a wait list coming through on a GV in October for a Sun, Wed and Thurs night?? That's 9 months away.

I would also be open to other suggestions for point usage but I'm not giving away my points so don't ask .

How many are in your party? I hope your waitlist comes through...I'd hate to have to move during a vacation. Could you bok a two bedroom and an extra studio, just in case the GV doesn't open up? Although, we're still in the 11/7 month window - I would think the GV should open up, unless they are planning to have some out of service for renovation or something.
