I'm so excited, I just had to post!!! I sat here today and planned out our August trip (so glad I did!!!). I got every reservation and time I requested, but my MS rep said that it's good that I called. There wasn't much left. :confused3 And I thought I was planning ahead!!!

Sat - Aug 9 - Staying in a 1-BR at VWL for the trip. Will probably venture over to Cor Springs food court for dinner.

Sun - Aug 10 - Going to a water park per pirate: and princess: request. Have reservations at Whispering Canyon at 5:45. I hope it's better than the last time we ate there (which was years ago)! ;)

Mon - Aug 11 - Have dinner reservations at California Grill at 6:10. Never been there. Hope it's good.

Tues - Aug 12 - MK Day!!! Dinner reservations at Cindy's Royal Table at 6:50. Again, never done a character dinner (or any character meal for that matter). princess: will be excited, and though he would never admit it, I told pirate: (12) about our ressies and he said, "Cool! We get to eat in the castle???" He doesn't get excited over much. So...small victories!

Wednesday - Aug 13 - ??? DTD, back to Cor Springs ???

I've heard that AKL has GREAT restaurants. Based on your experience, any of these you'd swap out for a dinner somewhere else? Just wanted to do some totally different things this vacation, and would love to hear where you guys enjoy dining, escpecially at other DVC or WDW resorts.

Have a great Memorial Day weekend and if travelling, be safe!!!

You may want to consider Boma at AKV for that last night's dinner instead of repeating Coronado Springs (I love that place). Boma is very good, lots for the little ones to choose from too. They have roasted chicken pieces which I think are "kid friendly", as well as a childrens station, and salads, fruit, soups etc. My family and I eat there every trip, we have very diverse tastes and we find there is much for everyone to enjoy. Dessert is awesome too.

Boma is a buffet dinner, but waiters come over for drink orders and to take away dirty plates. The resort in itself is a great place to visit, so you might want to go over at least an hour before your ADR and walk over to the viewing areas outside, let the kids see the animals. We find that around dinner time 5:30 and later, the animals are all out and closer to the resort (at least in our own experiences), so the viewing can be awesome.

There is also story time around the fire pit just outside of the back door of the resort, although I don't know what time it is held, or the age of your children. You may want to inquire about that on the boards or with the resort.

My kids are older now, and this is still a must do for every trip. As a matter of fact, we love it so much we added on a small contract here!

Good luck and have a great time planning and on your trip (I totally get your excitment!)
