Planning Aug/Sept trip. advice please!

We just returned from another magical trip and want to go again before our annual passes expire. Since labor day is on sept 7th, we were thinking of going the week before, which is Aug 30th- Sept 4. Our passes expire Sept 8th. We went Sept 8th -13th last year and LOVED it. Any advice on how crowded it may be?

You have to know what you're getting into. The week before Labor Day is more crowded than the week after. Additionally there is the Disneyland half marathon. The expo opens on Thursday the 3rd, so there will be additional crowds on the 3rd and 4th. It is the 10th anniversary event, so will draw more crowds. There is also the private 10th anniversary party on the 3rd, so DL will close at 9pm for that. There will be a 5k Friday morning, so expect at least one park to open later than a normal summer Friday. You can look for past threads about marathon weekend crowds.
