Ok, first time cruiser here...(4 night)
We have our ressies for the Radisson for the night before
We have a rental car booked
We have booked excursions
We have a budget (yeah, right!)
Is there anything else I need to do? We are going mid-January. (oooohhhh, next month!!)

The only really important thing I can think of is to make sure that you have proper ID for the cruise/plane (if you are flying). If you don't have a passport, each adult needs a photo ID such as a state-issued driver's license, AND a birth certificate with a RAISED seal. :) I've seen threads on this board where people have had to scramble at literally the last minute because they realized that their birth certificate wasn't the "official" one with the raised seal. And with airport security getting tighter and tighter, you definitely want to make sure you have the proper ID.

It sounds like you have almost everything taken care of already. Have a GREAT trip! :)

re: Raised Seal

My DH's doesn't have a raised seal, and is in fact quite a simple document. After reading about the birth certificate issues here on DIS, just a few weeks before sailing, I suffered a great deal of needless panicking.

I called DCL and described the certificate (again, it's nothing special) and they said it would be ok. I didn't try to order an expedited new certificate. but, of course I had some anxiety that we'd have trouble at the ports.

Glad to let you know, NO PROBLEM!!!! I don't think they even looked twice at the certificate.

DCL asks for an "official certificate". (Not a photo copy) Every state/locality varies; not all use raised seals, not all have watermarks.

Now, in answer to your original question....I think it's time to pack!!!! :Pinkbounc :cheer2:  Have a great time!!!:rockband:

IDs - check
sunscreen - check
camera - check
swim suit (2 each - they don't dry so well) - check
appetite - check

I think you are set. Go have fun!

Enjoy Christmas first. Then relax and enjoy your cruise. Accept the fact that something (probably little) will go wrong and plan to go with the flow.

Think ahead about any medications and make sure you take them in your CARRY ON.

The biggest thing I notice people doing is not trying new things. You have all the paperwork ready, all you need now is to relax. Don't try and do everything on the ship at once you have 4 days. And make sure to read your Personal Navigator :earboy2:
