I remember in my early 20s, I started working for a different company. One day my boss asked me what ABF stood for. I wondered if this guy thought I had been born yesterday and quickly piped up "It's your last drink." He looked at me blankly and asked me to explain. I told him that when you go out for drinks and you say this is the last round it means nothing. You carry on ordering rounds but when you really mean that this is your last drink you call ABF: Absolutely Bloomin' * Final! The correct answer to his question would have been Asset Based Finance.

Abbreviations are entertaining when left open to interpretation!
