I need help. Im planning on surprising my boyfriend with a trip to Orlando for his birthday. Although his birthday is in July I want to book soon to avoid price increases. I went to the travel agent today and they told me its going to cost around £2000 for the two of us which is in my budget. My only problem is I dont know what hotel to book! I want a 4 star between seaworld and universals. We previously stayed at the marriott world center which was fantastic but it was not near the areas we were visiting. I am currently looking at the renaissance orlando resort at seaworld or doubletree at universals but im not sure. Can anybody advice me please! Its hard choosing on my own! :confused3

Wow - isn't your boyfriend a lucky guy :goodvibes

Have you had a look on something like Trip Advisor to see what sort of reviews each one gets?

Seaworld to Universal covers a lot of hotels, just checked 5-6 miles depending which route you take.
Will you be having a car?
Are you booking thru TA or trying DIY? its not easy helping if you are going to book thru a TA, I might find a price for a hotel but then your TA might not sell that hotel or be double the price.
How long for?

If you post full details of TA's offer(dates, airline, hotel, departure airport) I will check if there are better prices around.

If you like a bit of luxury I highly recommend the Peabody, it's a lovely hotel and the onsite restaurants are brilliant. There's shuttles to most places and the trolley stops not far away. My favourite hotel although we've only stayed in a couple as we're villa people. It can be quite reasonably priced at times too and mention the birthday when you check in as we got an upgrade to a junior suite from a normal room when we did that (admittedly 10 years ago).

Exactly the one I was going to look at when I find out dates, seen it from under £60/night recently but its all down to dates.
