Hi everyone - it's my first post, so please be gentle!
GF and I are going to WDW later in the year (first time, although have been to DLP), and I am planning on popping the question when we are there. I think it ill have to be in MK because of the whole princess thing. Looking around on the site, the glass slipper at CRT seems like a nice way to do it, especially if we get out in time to see wishes straight after. Does anyone know who I need to speak to about that at WDW?

you would contact 407-wdw-dine to set up the advance reservation for the royal table in cinderella's castle & advise them you are proposing to your gf that night & tell them your plans & order the slipper dessert. then when you arrive for your AR remind the podium & your server of your plans. best wishes & luck. remember a camera for the after pic.

The best thing to do will be to contact Jim Campbell. He's the Area Manager for Cinderella's Castle. He helped my now fiance plan out our engagement at CRT in April. You can contact Disney Weddings to get in touch with him.
Mine was great! At the end of our meal our waiter brought out the "dessert tray"...it was a white plate with red and yellow rose petals with the glass slipper sitting on top. Inside the slipper was a yellow rose with the ring on it. You can imagine what followed...then our waiter brought out our real dessert, the chocolate slipper and on my plate "will you marry me" was written on the edges in chocolate. It was a great evening. Wishes occured during our meal which was really neat. Hope that helps!!! :wave2: princess: :lovestruc

DS proposed to his fiancee on June 5, 2005, in the MK - he used Gifts of a Lifetime to help him - they approached Kristen and asked her if she wanted to participate in a test program called "Race for the Princess" and said she could win any number of exciting prizes (i.e., a trip to the Grand Floridian, His and hers Mickey watches, Disney Dollars or the "mystery" grand prize that changed every day) - she, of course, jumped at the chance. Then the "pixie" gave her instructions to drop rose petals at Ariel's grove, blow bubbles over the rose garden near the castle and something else (don't quite remember what) - following completion of her tasks, she was to return to Cinderella's wishing well near the castle - she then was presented with an envelope telling her what she won - inside it said "You have won my heart, Kristen will you marry me?" Well, she was a crying mess, but the pixie caught the whole thing on film - it was great!!!!! Afterward, they had dinner in Tony's Townsquare Cafe (Lady and the Tramp is her fave) and a Wishes cruise from the dock at the GF complete with champage and tuxedo strawberries - she was very surprised!!!!!!! P.S. they were told to stop by guest services and tell them they were just engaged - they got special buttons with a wedding Mickey and Minnie on them - and they were congratulated by almost every Cast Member who saw them and even received a special dessert and card signed by all the servers at LeCellier a few days later. What a trip they had!!!!!!!

My FI also proposed to me at CRT last year-of course we're marrying in Disney in less than a month! He was asked if he wanted to do the slipper, but he personally did not trust the ring out of his sight! He set it up so that Wishes began right after the proposal-it was very romantic, and now Wishes has a very special place in my heart. Would your GF like the attention from the ring being bought out on the slipper? Personally, I was glad that the moment was intimate between the two of us. Again, though, this is a highly subjective thing and only you know what your GF would like best.
You could just as easily ask her to marry you at the end of main street as Wishes is going on; I think that would be just as romantic, as you really only get the full effect of Wishes from that viewing point.
Best of luck to the both of you!
