So we went in April and my daughter (ok and I) are itching to go again. I want to go see the christmas stuff. So when in Nov-Dec is a good time to go. the kid starts kindergarten this year, and so I figure either this year or next I can take her out for a few days to go (I hate crowds) So when is the best time during the holiday's to go?

I went to Disneyland this past December the weekend all the kids were off for Christmas break and what a mistake that was. It was SOOOOOOO crowded, the most crowded time I've ever been. It wasn't nearly as bad as the previous summer. From what I've read (hopefully more can confirm this), if you want to go during the Christmas holiday, it would probably be best to go two or three weeks before the official Christmas holiday begins. But please keep in mind if you go there during Christmas, the majority of the 40,000 plus visitors are sick and coughing all day. :flower:

I made the same mistake as the last poster last year. I have heard that the week after Thanksgiving up to the week before Christmas is usually the best time for the Holidays. We are still going this December just a week earlier. The Christmas theme is everywhere. You can't miss HM ar SWH! :cool1:

Crazymomof 4 is right; the best time would be after the Thanksgiving holiday weekend through the week before Chirstmas break. This year that would be between 11/28 to 12/16. That will be one of the least crowded times of the year.

I believe all the decorations are up by the first weekend in November, so either the week or 2 before Thanksgiving or the 2 weeks after would are a perfect time to visit. Usually the Christmas parade doesn't start until Thanksgiving, but I'm not sure what they will do this year. The Parade of Dreams may run through the holiday season. Maybe they'll just add a float for Santa??

We went first week of December and it was sensational - no crowds, no queues, but we got all the decorations, the holiday makeover of Small World and Haunted Mansion and the Christmas parade - the best time to go, without a doubt.

Anytime from after thanksgiving until about a week before Christmas (when holidays start) should be as good as our week.
