My parents have finally given in and agreed to go with us Next December.. ..I have a few questions though....can you make reservations and make payments to Disney towards your package? My parents also want to stay on site and as close to the parks as possible without spending a fortune(mom has health issues and will need to go back and forth to the room) of course my dad saw pics of the Wilderness lodge(sooooooooo his style) and wants to stay there. But I have no clue how far that is..I do know that it is major $$$$ (do they ever have codes or specials or packages???)

Yes there are codes for the resorts and deals foe hotels that are very,close to WDW. Check this site often for the codes and deals and sign up for the free newsletter.

You may want to stay at one of the Monorail hotels,Contemporary,Polynesian,and Grand Floridian for convinence. But as you found out they are the Deluxe Resorts and = $$$$.

But there is another option and that is to rent a car,then you are on your own time table,with your own transportation to a resort or hotel you can afford!! Onsite or offsite as your budget needs.

You have plenty of time to plan your trip!
