Planning Ahead

We just used our Delta Sky miles to book our September 24-Oct 2 trip this morning. We have a non stop on the way home that leaves at 7:45 am!!! ME will be having us up early and then we must also take our own bags. But non stop from MCO-SLC, for min. miles, we jumped on it and call ourselves lucky.

Now if only SW would release June so I can get airfare for us and quick trip.

Our September trip is so far away I can't even make ADR's yet or book BCV until the 2nd as it is not my home resort. Wow, this is the earliest I have booked a trip.

Lessons learned, plan way ahead to use airline miles!

I have seen a thread on this board (or maybe another) about Delta's changing itineraries without notifying you. That same thing happened to us with our award tickets. As was explained on that thread, you are scheduling anticipated flights, so just make sure that you monitor your plans the closer you get to your September trip. I know it seems like it is forever away. We, too, had a direct flight home that was changed several times and ended up making one stop and arriving after 11:00.
