I would guess sometime in 2015 although lines will be still be crazy for quite a while.

It might slow down some but not much. WWoHP hasn't really slowed down a lot over the past year so don't expect short lines for HP2.

I'd do the first week in December 2014, making sure it doesn't melt into Thanksgiving week.

If your April dates are after most of the spring break craziness has abated, I'd go then, although the cooler temps of December sound good to. It's gonna be crazy at Universal for years to come.
Park closures due to capacity will become much more frequent, and ticket prices will continue their "Disnee-esqe" escalations, but we'll still try to get our fix there as often as we can sneak away from here!

I would do December 2014..Even then , expect it to be busy in those sections of the parks.Crowds are going to be very very busy for a long long time after the expansion opens. It has been 3, almost 4 years and the WWoHP at IOA is still the busiest, most trekked to part of the parks.We are going again in Decmber 2014 and we are planning on it being busy despite being a slower time in general

Agree, December, second choice November, based on the fact that these are slower seasonally than the alternatives in 2015. But would still expect lengthy wait times even in slow season dates.

the new HP won't be open until june 2014 and waiting until 2015 is not really a good choice
