Planning ahead for DHS

I like to plan in advance when it comes to Disney. We won't be going until March of next year (or possibly even later). What is expected to even still be running at DHS by then? We are into the shows, but like the rides, character meets, etc. Anyone have any idea what will be going on there by spring? Things we usually enjoy are: Muppets, Star Tours, TSMM, ToT (depending on kids' moods), Indiana Jones, Lights Motors Action, Fantasmic!, Magic of Disney Animation (which is closing soon, right). We typically do a full day at this park and are thinking half day now.

I would say if you arrive early is definitely a half day park.If your willing to forgo Fantasmic and Frozen show which are evening attractions (shows) Danny

We decided to make it our arrival day park, because I can't imagine being there all day and I don't want to miss Fantasmic!

Honestly, other than what has been announced as closing/closed, ie Backlot Tour, American Idol, Animation Academy, Magic of Disney Animation, and One Man's Dream, no one really knows what will happen. Frozen Sing-Along is supposed to move to Hyperion Theater. Rumors say Premiere Theater will be torn down and replaced. However, I don't think that's official and where the replacement goes nobody knows. They are adding another TSMM, but I don't think the finish date has been announced. I think we are just going to have to wait and see. There's still very little info available. Sorry

Personally speaking I would make DHS a mid-afternoon into evening park so you can catch Fantasmic if that interests you.

Chances are you'll still have a good day in there. For starters the first show of LMA isn't until 1:30, so by the time that's over it's 2:00 anyways. Hit TSMM at RD and then FP+ for later so you can enjoy it twice.

You'll know much more after d23 about what's going on in the park.

I don't think they will announce concrete dates though. Plus, the majority of the work definitely won't be done by March 2016 and possibly not even started. By then, I think only very minor changes could be made and possibly the closing of more attractions, if needed.

I am pretty sure at this point the only things you can bank on being there are Star Tours, Frozen sing-a-long, TT, ROR, and TSMM oh and Fantasmic

I'm not even sure about Frozen Sing-Along. However, I do think there will be some Frozen show, maybe something that's a bigger production.

The frozen sing a long is so awful unless your 6 so I would say skip that and fantastic to me is a must do if you don't go every year.

Hasn't Frozen already moved to the Hyperion, I am pretty sure that I read it had moved a few weeks ago, so maybe it will stick around longer than we had all hoped

We've seen the Frozen sing along twice now--first to get out of torrential down pour and second time to get some AC and kill time :rotfl2: #wearenotfrozenfans

This may be our case since I am thinking we may go on arrival day and will probably not make the RD.

Yea it already moved into the new theater

Yep...it moved a couple of weeks ago.

And I disagree with the previous poster; I thought the Frozen sing along was cute. I enjoyed the narrators' humor, and we had a good time.

Will Indiana Jones close? My DS loves it.

No. It's been rumored too (just like every ride). But it's not closing anytime soon. Someone recently posted on here that they recently renewed its agreement so it'll be here for at least the next 10 years it was said

I agree it is cute and fun!! We did it last year and will probably give it another go in October, I just don't know if it would become a must see like The Lion King for us. I do find myself a bit tired of all the Frozen stuff everywhere I go, but I do still have the soundtrack on my phone lol.

In the new theatre does it require a fastpass still?
