Hi All,

I'm planning a trip with a friend at the end of april/beggining of May. The questions I have are:

1) Is the 29th-3rd (April/May) a school holiday for UK/France?

2) Can you still book for one, and then pay tax only still when 2 get there?

If I book for one person, it's £660. If I book for both of us its £800 (big difference).

If so, how much is the tax?

We're basically trying to do as budget trip as we can, but want a disney hotel because it includes park tickets.

Thanks. :)

The 1st of May is a public holiday (May DAy) and it's a 4 day weekend so I'd avoid it if possible

You can and the tax is between 50cts and 2€ pp per night but you wouldn't get park tickets for the 2nd person. You'd have to buy them from elsewhere or buy an AP

D'oh, was this not may 7th?

You have the 1st, 8th, 17th, 27th and 28th of May which are public holidays in France this year.

It's the 7th in the UK which is May Day. In France it's always the 1st of May regardless of which day of the week it falls on

Well, we are booked off from work now so that's not really something we can change, damn!

Hopefully it wont be toooo bad, has anyone gone on this date before?.. we're aiming to arrive on the 29th (sunday).

Would it be worth moving to the monday?

It will be the same the 4 days from the Sat on plus it's school holidays until the 2nd for Paris and it's region and until the 9th for the North of France

But you will have the longer hours so with a bit of careful planning you'll be ok, it will be mad though - bank holidays and long weekends always are :)

JustJonathan - I made the same mistake! hoping that the longer hours will help but annoyed I didn't know before I booked! but it's still Disney :)

Ok, could anyone confirm to me what the week of April 16th? Is that a quiet one? I think it's right after easter for both countries.

French school holidays - Paris and it's region - they start on the 14th of April and last 2 weeks.

There's also another zone on holiday for 2 weeks (starting the 7th) but they are less likely to be in the park

Basically the French are on staggered school holidays from the 7th April and then May has all the public holidays :sad2:

What dates are NOT public holidays for france/uk over April/May or July? :)

Is there an easy site which lists both?

thanks!
