Planning a trip to DL in August

Hi

I'm new to this site. Can anyone answer the following questions for me?

1. Where in DL can you get ice cubes to stay cool?
2. Any advice on staying cool in DL during the hot summer?
3. Any idea where the closest grocery store is near the Howard Johnson?
4. I am claustrphobic and wondering what rides might be tame.

1. Can't answer that one, we took our own cold bottles of water each day, didn't see any ice dispensers anywhere

2. We came out of the park at midday for lunch and a swim, however you could try inside attractions in the heat of the day. Innoventions, all the theatres etc were airconditioned.

3. There is a supermarket about half a mile away, go up harbour away from DL to Ball rd then turn right and it is about 300 yards down on the right. Alternatively there is a 7/11 on the corner of Harbour and Katella bout the same distance. There is a grocery store on your way to DL in the Tropicanna complex but it is expensive.

4. Depends on how serious your phobia is, darkness seems to be a element in most of the rides but there is no ride that really encloses you except for maybe Nemo and Space. I don't feel comfortable advising you as I'd hate to tell you something is OK only for you to find out your're not......

You can get a free cup of ice at any counter service restaurant in DL or DCA.

My favorite places to cool off are Splash Mtn and PoTC in DL, Grizzly River Rapids and the Animation Studio in DCA.

I like getting the ice inside Rancho Del Zocalo at their drink dispenser and then filling up with cold water at the water dispenser outside in the dining area.
