Hi All

1st I have got to say what a great site?

And thanks for letting me join!!!!!!

Anyway i am in the process of planning a Trip to WDW in OCt 2008.

There will be 5 Adult and I Child (Aged 21 months when we go)

We have been before but i still think it is mine field when coming to book.

Last time we stayed for a week at the POR with a water view room and a week at Portofina Bay In Universal. (All with Virgin Holidays)

But his time we only want to stay 2 weeks in Disney due to the Little one.

We have a budget of £8000 for the Flight/Hotel/Transfers

At the moment the best quote i have is

For approx £6500 for (all booked seperately)
Flights from B'ham / Sanford with Thomson (premium upgrade) 4k
Accomo POR with water view room (Disney Direct) 2.5k

I am after sugguestions on how to get better value for money. As we would like to stay at deluxe hotel by Epcot (BC, YC or Broadwalk)

Thanking you in advance for you help

Andy

Welcome along Andy ! (We're going October next year too)

Your budget sounds not too bad really, especially if you want to stay at BC, Yacht Club or Boardwalk.

Have you tried Expedia for flights, hotels etc?

Thats what i thought. But Expedia wont let you book further than july 08 at the mo.

who are you travelling with/ booking with ????

We are going with British Airways - it's handy for us as we can fly straight from Aberdeen to Gatwick then to MCO.

We always book our flights/hotels/car etc. separately. You are right about Expedia - you can't book too far ahead.

We went separately to Dollar for the car, Expedia for the hotels, and BA for our flights. Think ours has come to around £1500 for 3 adults. (Car was extra though).

What hotel is that based on!!!

Cause that sounds like a great deal

We are planning on flying next November 2008. Just to get some idea I have rung TCD who wanted about £1600 flight, hotel and car staying in Best Western Plaza on I Drive for this November. There are three of us me, daddy, wife Donna and son John aged 7 this November. I then entered Expedia for the same date this November and same deal. £1700 all in but the difference is flying with Virgin direct to Orando airport, not Sanford. I have no complaints about TCD always found them good value and good service. However, if the pric remains the same for next year we will seriously consider Expedia. :thumbsup2
