I'm thinking about planning a trip for this July, myself, dh and our 3 kids ages 9, 15 and 18. Is there anyway to find deals on this plan with it being so close? I'm thinking onsite to avoid a rental car but would off site be much cheaper even with a rental figured in? We've only been once and we stayed at Windsor Hills so I'm not sure where to begin!

there are some discounts on the disney website. which im gussing you already looked at. otherwise you could rent points from a vacation club rental. I book through Davids. okw and ss are probaly still avalible.

For your family size off site would probaly be cheaper. even with a car rental. the cheapest disney hotel for your family size i see is 171 a night on average. you could get a none disney hotel for half or less. A car rental and park parking and a cheap off site hotel would be less. my guess would be about $50 a night. you could plan out a disney vacaton on there site then plan out an off site one on orbitz or another travel site then google discounts for the travel site. if you stay off site make sure to check the car rental companys and hotels webpage the travel sites are not always the cheapest.

Thanks. I think we're going to try and find a nice rental with a pool....now to start the research for that!

Don't forget to add in the $17 it is going to cost you to park everyday. For a family of 5 I would look at Port Orleans Riverside if you are going to stay on site. Also look at Orbitz and google to see if they have a coupon. You can stack an orbitz coupon with the Disney special and save even more money.

Some off site hotels have shuttle service so you wouldn't have to pay to park. We are a family of 5 so I feel your pain. POR has been our go to resort for 4 trips.

The OP's kids might be a little too big for the POR Murphy bed. They will also have to pay the "extra adult" nightly fee for the 18 year old. It might make more sense to get a Family Suite at ASMu or AoA if they want to stay onsite.
