We have AP's and drive out from AZ every 2-3 months and usually stay at the Red Lion b/c for under $100/night we get free parking and a free hot breakfast (and still within walking distance)...

I am going to make an impromtu trip out next weekend with my 4 and 7yr olds and am having a hard time finding a decent rate anywhere close! Isn't summer over? LOL We are coming in Thursday night and leaving Sunday morning.

Anyone have a suggestion on finding a cheap hotel? Since my husband won't be with us, I really want to stay across the street. I've checked orbitz and the hotel websites, but everything is still over $130+/night.

Tips?

Thanks! :)

Stovalls on katella has a free breakfasbut parking is 8 bucks I think. They are usually really cheap, easily under 100 and we had a great stay there. Clean rooms and within walking distance and the walk back at night is beautiful! If you book through getawaytoday, they give you the 3rd night free and seem to have the best prices.

Desert Inn & Suites is right across the street and they have 1 room for your dates for $109/night. Continental breakfast included.

On GAT for your dates, stovalls is 208 total, google for a promo code to get 10 bucks off and if you pay with online check, it will take another 10 off.

Stick with the Red Lion, just walk to the Toy Story lot with the kids in the morning and catch the shuttle, it's free and it is absolutely allowed, I asked. :)

If you have a Premium AP so you don't have to worry about parking, I would personally check LastMinuteTravel, Hotwire and then bid about 20% lower on priceline. Just my approach.

However, the Red Lion for $72/night is a pretty good deal. We stayed there last August and enjoyed (a little far away to walk to the parks but as another poster mention, TS shuttle is very convenient).

I love you guys :) Thanks!

Just a little brag here cause I was so proud of myself - but a few months ago, Fry's Grocery Store (Kroger) had a deal where you got4x the fuel points for buying gift cards, so I bought 4 $500 Disney GC's which would cover our AP's (that expire at the end of this month) plus cover one night of the MNSSHP and get my husband 8000 fuel points which let him fill up his work trucks four times for $2.00 less a gallon. So I think he got 4 tanks full at like $1.35 a gallon. And I'll take the GC's with me on this quick trip next weekend and renew our passes before they expire getting an additional $20 off on each one.

YAY!
