DD17 graduates from high school next week (yeah!!) After going back and forth, she's decided a trip to WDW with all of us (mom, sister, and three best friends) would be the most fun. So, I've booked a 2BR at VWL for three nights in August, waitlisted for the fourth night (and reserved a 2BR at SSR just in case the waitlist doesn't come through.) I've offered to provide transportation (anyone want to drive 10 hours with five girls with me??) and resort for 4 nights, which isn't as generous as it sounds, because the three of us would have gotten a 2BR anyway, so we are just filling up extra bed space. The "guest" girls will buy their own tickets and pay for their meals and spending money. We'll do breakfast in the room, and we have 2 or 3 TS ADRs - I'll treat everyone to WCC the first night, then they'll each pay me for their meals (I have a DDE card, so that will apply to those meals.)

Sounds great, and I'm really looking forward to it - except:

Four days is a really short trip for a 10 hour drive, and there's every reason to think one or two of these girls will end up having to cancel. That's slightly problematic in that it will mess up our ADRs, but we could live with having to change those and miss a few meals. If we have only 4 poeple, though, or even if we have 5, I'd just as soon extend the vacation through the weekend, and get another room after the DVC portion "runs out." I don't want to use any more points, as I have borrowed from next year to do this trip, and I don't want to pay DVC prices after the 4th day. But I'd have to pick up the cost - the girls wouldn't be able to afford the extra resort costs.

Boy, this is long!!! But, where would you move if you had 5 people, for a Friday and Saturday night??

I'm worse. I'd look into a villa at Cypress Pointe for Friday and Saturday thru hotelkingdom. com. Their surround sound is the best if the girls watch DVDs.

I would do 2 rooms at Pop Century just so the girls could be independent and come and go as they please using the Disney bus system.
