planning a florida trip....cheapest month to go????

Hi everyone, I have begun "think about planning" my 3rd trip to Florida no dates decided yet have always gone beginning of sept before.

I wondered what is the cheapest month to Fly to Florida May - October because we dont want beginning of year.

We went in May and it was brilliant, room rates weren't at summer price levels yet (avoid Memorial weekend at the end of the month) and flights were cheap (for Florida) as it wasn't over any school holiday periods. We paid £420 direct gatwick to Orlando with BA, booked in the Jan sales. Amazing weather, moderate crowds, I would recommend it. Then again there are a lot of people on here who go on Sept and Oct so I'm sure they can give you some advice too.

October are good prices, low crowds, low humidity, lower prices, but still hot

Avoid school hols for best flight deals if you can.

May and September usually have decent prices - alot wont pull kids out of school due to exams/sats or start of term.

October is nice but seems to have got pricier flight wise as more families cotton on to it being a good time to go.

september seems to be the quiestest and cheapest in our experience..
absolutely no school age children - no one takes their kids out of school in september!!

and you can still get a halloween party, as they start them in mid-september...(maybe even earlier than that)..

and the flight prices are much lower in september than the summer...

I think September is good too. Last time I went was at the end of my university summer holidays so schools were back and WDW was v quiet! You'd still get afternoon rain showers but it's not as humid as August.

I'm going early October this year but don't really know what to expect in terms of weather or crowds!
