We have decided to go skiing for the first time ever for xmas in about 4 years(when baby daughter will be 5). I'm starting to plan it now so that I will have enough time to do some research on where to stay and go. Can anybody recommend a good place to start/go that goes skiing every once in a while(when not at Disney).?
Thanks

Well, these two websites
www.skicolorado.com and www.skiutah.com would be a good place to start-I live in Colorado and thus ski rather more than I go to Disney. I love Breckenridge-cheaper than the big resorts like vail, aspen and beaver creek and more intermediate slopes. Keystone and Copper Mountain are also nice-In Utah Alta, Solitude and Park City are all very nice. All will have ski schools and day care so your DD will have age appropriate activities.

I have lived in Utah for the past 10 years and agree completely with the suggestions posted. Where you choose may depend on your ability. Alta is primarily intermediate to advanced terrain and is the only one of the three mentioned that does not allow snowboarding. Solitude is a nice intermediate resort with short lines, but is a little pricier than Alta. Park City is the largest and most expensive of the three, and tends to have less snow as it's on the back side of the mountain from Alta and Solitude. However, being the largest, PC will have more amenities and probably more options for the little one.
