So tell me about early May at Disneyland? Is that a good time to visit as far as crowd levels go?
We have been once before in mid October and as the day went on it got very crowded! We were there on a Thursday and it was packed by 3pm till 10pm....Crazy!! We are used to WDW and it never seemed that crowded to me except for the 24 hour party.:scared:

We may rent DVC and stay on property for 3 nights and then head to Universal Hollywood for a night.

Can we expect decent weather in May?:flower1:

Planning to go mid week and before all kids are out of school.:cloud9:

Thank you...

You should find pretty good crowds in early May. However, DL is different from WDW. There are so many locals with the SoCal pass, they'll come in after work and fill the parks. That's normal. And though it may feel way more crowded than WDW, the lines to the attractions won't be awful.

Historically, DLR has shorter operating hours and reduced evening entertainment on weekdays (Mon to Thu) in early May. Fireworks (and F!, although it's not yet known when that will return in 2017) were only presented on weekends (Fri to Sun); we don't yet know what PtN's schedule will be during non-peak periods.
