Planning a birthday celebration…

Hi all,

I am planning a birthday vacation for my husband and I. It would be this coming February of 2023. It would be three nights and four days. We just got back from POFQ and we loved it. In the past, we stayed at CSR and we loved it. Many years ago I stayed at CBR. This would be adults only. I would like to try somewhere new, but I was thinking either GDT or the Fort Wilderness Cabins? For something for a little different? Possibly CBR again? Very confused lol. The parks we usually go to are MK and Epcot. I was also thinking AKL. We are pretty simple and enjoy most meals at the food court and spending time at the pool. Thank you all as always!

If you could swing it, I'd go with AKL honestly.

Expanding - mod-wise I'd say GDT, BUT that food court is lacking. They do have Three Bridges at night though, and that's AMAZING!

Thank you! I’m really tempted, but a part of me keeping saying to try somewhere “new”. However, we never stayed in the GDT before.

I would do Gran Destino Tower or AKL. If you choose the Kidani side of AKL, keep in mind that it doesn't have an official quick service location. There is a shuttle that goes to Jambo house that comes around every 10 minutes or so. I recently stayed at AKL in May so feel free to ask any questions concerning the resort : ).

I'm going to be honest. The Mara, the quick service at Jambo House, isn't great. I ate there for lunch and got a burger which was SUPER dry and flavorless. There's also a bakery section that isn't anything special. Jambo House also has more drink options than Kidani if you choose to buy the refillable cups.

It is slightly better than the grab and go operation at CSR, but that's a low bar TBH.

Yup, that I agree with 100%. I stayed at Coronado pre pandemic and thought their quick service food court was awful.
