Ok planning my 6th trip in 2013 to DLP, so i should know by now what i'm doing but I dont! I am thinking we will go in around feb/march 2013. DS1 turns 12 in Jan and DS2 turn 3 in March.

I’m not sure what is the best way to book with DS1 being over 12. In the past I have just waited for a deal to come along but with DS1 being over 12 I'm afraid it will be really expensive.

Should I go for annual passes? Does it make more economical sense having an over 12? Being a Shareholder should I buy them at the park? Does this mean I book hotel off site? Does that mean we don’t get extra magic hours. I would love for the 3 year old to stay in Hotel Cheyenne next year as I think he would love the theme. Does it make more sense to go before DS2 turns 3?

I spotted on another forum someone mentioning booking some of the party in and adding other guests at check in and buying some of the party annual passes…… does this make sense to anyone…. I’m confuse.com

Dream and Fantasy AP's both give EMH. Dream AP have no blackout days so can be used the whole 365 days of the year and Fantasy have 45 black out days

If you buy them from a site such as ce multiavantages you get roughly 20% off the gate price of the AP plus they offer at certain times a free under 7's pass

You can book a package for 1 adult with any offers (children under 12 for free say) and then add on extra people within the limit of the room occupancy at reception. You just pay the couple of €'s room tax. They get breakfast too.

You'd need AP's for them though as they don't get tickets.

hth :)

Carrie_Cat has pretty much covered everything you want to know I think OP :).

January to March is the cheapest time to go if you're looking at staying onsite, so it doesn't really matter if you go when your DS is 2 or 3, as all kids under 12 go free at that time of year.

Would it be 2 adults and 2 children (one over 11)?

great i'm off to check out Carrie Cats posts.... Yes it would be 2 adults and 2 children one of them over 12.

okay, the winter schedule will be published 22nd May I believe, so you could go quote on various ways of booking your trip then -

all of you on a package onsite
one adult and your youngest (free) child on a package onsite
2 adults and your youngest child on a package onsite
one adult and both children on a package onsite.

Generally speaking, as APs with EMH (fantasy ones so check the blockout dates when looking at your holiday dates) can be bought from cemultiavantages for around £100 each, if your package prices work out at this amount per paying customer or more, then you'd be better off with the minimum guests on the package (ie one adult and the free child) and buying APs for the other 2 and adding them to the hotel booking when you check in.
