My wife and I are planning our 1st disney vacation Orlando just needed some tips We are looking to stay at one of the value resorts for about 3 to 4 days in June 2015 and 1-day tickets to the magic kingdom. Any advice would be appreciated.
Kids will be age 10, 8, & 6 at the time of travel and also has anyone used a travel agency?

my choice would be Pop - but if you want to save more money - might go with All Stars Sports.

any park ticket for only one day is going to be very expensive.

I was in Orlando recently and same situation. There were 2 adults and 3 kids.My kids are old enough that its getting tough to squeeze them all into a queen bed (which we could do when they were wee ones).

We lucked out on Hotwire and got the Lake Buena Vista Resort, which was a 2 bedroom condo, 2 bath, full kitchen and about 1000 square feet. Here's an article on how to get the Lake Buena Visa Resort on Hotwire for $100 per night. Its not a sure thing, but worth a look.

We love Pop Century for a value. I would definitely get more than a one day ticket. You won't get to see too much only going one day.

I can't imagine sleeping 5 people in a value resort room for 3-4 days (or even one night). Me personally, I would look offsite for more space at a far lower cost.

Then, I would use the savings to extend my number of park days.

I cannot imagine staying at a value with 5 people. There are lots of cheap great offsite options. We just returned from WBC -- loved it. But I suspect you have to rent by the week there. You might consider looking around at offsite options. I know that's akin to blasphemy to some. :)

Totally agree with Gina

I didn't even notice that there were 3 kids! I was too distracted by the 1 day ticket at MK:faint:
OP, how old are your kids? If they are all over 3 then you can't stay in a value anyway. You can only have 4 people plus 1 child under 3. I wouldn't do a value with 5 either.
Port Orleans Riverside has a room that sleeps 5. A little bigger than a value, but not much. I would also look at offsite…especially if you aren't doing more than one park day…which still makes me:faint: LOL
